3-time prisoner arrested ‘in connection with’ Salina mobile home murder

Salina, N.Y. — A 49-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a Salina murder, according to an Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.

Louis Beaulieu, 49, was wanted in connection with the murder of Nicholas Buck, deputies said. Beaulieu also has an arrest warrant for drug possession in the Village of Solvay, according to deputies.

The investigation into Buck’s death began around 4:30 a.m. on June 7 after a wounded Buck was dropped off at St. Joseph’s Health Hospital Center. Buck died a short time later.

The Syracuse Police Department responded to the hospital and learned the stabbing had happened near LeMoyne Avenue in Salina, Seeber said.

The sheriff’s office took over the call and headed to the LeMoyne Mobile Home Park to investigate. Deputies found a crime scene at 1705 LeMoyne Ave., Seeber said.

Beaulieu stands 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs 220 pounds. He last lived at 2304 Chancery Lane in Liverpool.

Beaulieu has been to New York State Prison at least three times. His last stint, which started in 2015, stemmed from an incident when he was accused of hitting a victim with a stove grate. According to jail records at the time, Beaulieu went by several aliases, including “One Punch Lou.”

He has been on parole since being released from prison in December of 2019, according to state prison records.
