The latest update — bearing firmware version 3E751 — comes almost six months after the last update 3A283 firmware version was released in September.
Apple hasn’t listed any release notes for the update, therefore it is not clear what is new in this update.
AirPods users must note that there is no manual way to update the device as the firmware update automatically installs when the AirPods are connected via Bluetooth to the iPhone.
Users can check the AirPods’ firmware version by heading to Settings app > Bluetooth > AirPods > ‘i’ icon > Firmware Version.
